Grandpa and Grandma's House

While we were in Utah we slept at various locations. One of those was Grandpa Gene and Grandma Tammy's house. One of the best things about their house is that it is also Andrew, Becca and Jessica's house (as well as a second home for Katrina and her kids). So basically, everyone is there pretty much all of the time . . . it was a non-stop party!

The kids spent many mornings having tea parties. I can't believe how well that tea set has held up. They each love pouring their own "tea" and having little snacks on their plates. The conversations are a hoot to listen to.

My kids absolutely loved playing with their cousins. I think the boys have a special bond. They both love trains and Michael adores Tom. In this picture Michael is trying to draw train tracks for Tom's train to chug along, but Tom is gaining ground.

The girls also have a special bond. They loved checking Grandpa's raspberry bushes each day to see if there were any ripe ones.

The kiddos slept out on the deck one night in the tent. Pretty cool!

Aunts and uncles are always so much fun. Life would not be the same without Katrina, Jake, Jessica, Andrew and Becca. They were constant entertainers, chefs, babysitters, playmates, etc.

We also got to visit some of the Van Tassell extended family at a "reunion" up the canyon. But, silly me, I didn't take any pictures of the extended family. But here is a picture of the girls and their sweet Jessica at the reunion. They all had matching braids that day!

And, yes once again, we had to make an emergency dental appointment in Utah for Michael. Luckily Ben's super nice cousin Greg went into the office on his day off to fix Michael's filling that had come out, and also seal two of his top back teeth. I think Grandma Tammy had the most fun, acting in the role of dental hygienist. Greg was super sweet . . . he even bought Michael a Slurpee on the way home! Thanks Greg.

Oh Betsy, you are so good at doing these. We miss you all, I think Sarah is so brave to have her ears pierced. Ouch! We can hardly wait for next summer.
