The Last Two Weeks

As I downloaded my pictures I realized how behind I was with postings on the blog. We have been busy these last two weeks. It is so nice to have the summer coming. There are lots of excuses to be outdoors. So, here is what we have been up to.

We attended the Lebanese Food Festival on the recommendation of Fadi and Lusene, and we weren't disappointed. YUM!

On May 17th Emma got to have her unBirthday at school. She took pink "homemade oreo cookies" with pink frosting. Sarah and I met her for lunch to celebrate!

She was also a Bus Rider of the Month this month. She is a pretty awesome Kindergartner.

On the final day of my Institute class (and Sarah's Scripture Tot's class) Sarah preformed "Book Of Mormon Stories" during our luncheon.

One evening after school we went to the Children's Museum and hung out. We let butterflies land on our heads in the Shadow Park. Drove tractors and made music in the "backkyard".

Last weekend we had a super fun campout in the backyard. We roasted hot dogs on the grill and even made Smores! We played tag and games in the backyard, looked through the telescope, and watched Bambi in the tent. It was really fun - kids make all the work worth it!

This last Tuesday I got to chaperone Michael's field trip to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. The bus ride was crazy. On the way there I sat in the very back and it was so bumpy it was like we were on a roller coaster -- I was a little worried that I might go into labor. And on the way back the bus had to pull over along the side of the freeway four different times -- I was glad when we finally made it home. However, the garden's were beautiful and the kids were so much fun.

Nacho came to Richmond for a visit, we have all really missed him. We went out to Buzz N' Neds Barbecue, before he left to go home to Argentina.

On Thursday Emma had her Kindergarten Program to celebrate the end of the year. She smiled the whole time and looked like she was having so much fun, we loved watching her. After the program we went to her classroom to pick her up and take her home a few minutes early. She declined our offer saying that she wanted to ride the bus home with Michael. Kids are so funny . . . or maybe I should say so awesome!

We set a turtle free that had got into our backyard and stomped through our garden.

Maybe that is more information about our lives than anyone wants to know, but that's what we're up to. I am so lucky to have these cuties to hang out with everyday!

WOW! You have been busy. Camping in the backyard is the best, looks so fun and snugly. AND I love having the bathrooms so close!

Where do you get all your energy??? If you have a little left over, could you send it back to Utah? I could really use a little extra "Umph" this week.
