H-A-double L-O-W-double E-N spells Halloween!

Halloween has become one of my favorite holidays. We did lots of Halloween activities this year.

For the past two years we have had my mom with us on Halloween, we didn't get her on the actual night this year but she was here to help us set up decorations (and she will be back in 12 more days). When she was here we went to the Pumpkin Patch and chose our pumpkins. She also helped us decorate the front porch (which looked totally spooky this year - picture at end of post).

The next event was an adult Halloween Party that Ben and I (and Nate) attended. We went as Han Solo and Princess Leia.

The week before Halloween we went to a pumpkin carving party with some of our friends. The kids all had their own ideas for the pumpkins -- I love how they turned out. And it was so much fun to do it with friends.

Here are ALL of the final products. Michael, Emma and Sarah's are in the middle -- somewhere.

Next was the Trunk-or-Treat at church. It was tons of fun. I even won "Most Creative Dessert."

And finally, the big night. Michael was not thrilled about me taking pictures before Trick-or-Treating. Precious time . . . wasted!

But once he was set free to get candy, he had plenty of time to do a basketball pose for me.

Here is what Nate did during Trick-or-Treating. It was nice to just have him in the stroller and walk along while the kids ran from house to house.

I love our subdivision -- we must have seen 200-300 kids in just the hour we were out. With all of that, how could you not love Halloween! And I even got all of my decorations down the very next day.
