We were invited up to Woodbridge, VA to spend the holiday with the Brysons. They host a lovely dinner with turkey, sweet potatoes (my favorite), corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pies, the works!

After dinner we took a walk along the path behind Mel and Cherry's home. The weather was nice and the kids loved the freedom to run around. They didn't hesitate to get dirty either.

| The kids always have fun watching a show in Mel's "theater" as the evening winds down. |
I think that one of the favorite activities this year was the candy turkeys that Emma taught us how to make. Earlier in the week Emma's class had made these turkeys and they looked so yummy and cute that I talked Emma into teaching us how to make them while we were up with the Brysons. They consisted of Oreos, candy corn, extra frosting, red hots, and Whoppers. Emma was a great instructor!

After jammies were on Cherry read stories to everyone. Michael Bryson and Jax got to spend the night as well. Families are amazing things. I am so grateful to have such wonderful people in my life.

Nerf shooting seems vaguely familiar--especially with the plastic animals. What a fun party!
