My little buddy loves to bathe and/or shower. His ears perk right up whenever he hears the word. The other day I was trying to explain to one of our other children that it was time for them to go upstairs to take a shower.
The minute I said it Nate came whipping around the corner from the other room squealing. He headed straight for the stairs and started climbing. He paused for a moment to look at me, as if to say "are you coming?". I asked him, "Do you want to take a bath?". He responded, "ra" (which is his version of ya or yes). So I started toward the stairs. Once again the squealing started and he was climbing those last few stairs at a rapid pace. By the time I reached the bottom of the stairs he was all the way up and I could hear his little feet running down the hall to my bathroom.
My other kids love watching him get excited, so Michael headed upstairs too to help Nate get undressed. By the time I got into the bathroom, Nate was standing there bouncing up and down in nothing but a diaper (Michael has learned not to mess with that.).
So I walked over and started the tub. The sound of running water in the tub is Nate's que to run over to our tub toy box and start getting some toys. He then heads straight to the tub and throws them in. (He usually continues doing this until you lift him in. Sometimes there are a LOT of toys in there with him.) By this time he is so excited he can barely handle walking back to the toy box for more toys. So he just grabbed one of his socks off the floor and threw it in too.
He is just SO cute!
