Easter Celebrations

We had a really fun Easter Holiday.  We did an egg hunt at Emma's preschool as well as one at our ward.  It was fun to watch the kids each have their own technique in hunting eggs.  Michael:  speed and reasoning. (He ran fast.  Then he spotted the guy who was going around hiding more eggs and followed him closely gathering each one that he dropped).  Emma: politeness.  (Every time she bumped into someone, or they bumped her, she said "sorry."  If she and another child reached for an egg at the same time she always gave it to the other child.)  Sarah:  easy-going. (She was simply content to wander and if she happened onto an egg she was pleased.)

Easter morning was lots of fun.  They found lots of eggs as well as their hidden easter baskets.  Then they spent the next few hours playing with the stuff that the Easter Bunny had brought them.  And they had chocolate bunnies for breakfast . . . could it get any better?

Michael gave a talk in Primary, and was glad that Grandma Tammy and Grandpa Gene could be there.  Ben got to substitute Emma's primary class.  So church was pretty enjoyable.  After church we went over to our friends' home for Easter dinner.  Antonio and Vera were wonderful hosts (as usual) and we all ate too much and had lots of fun.

So cute! I'm sad we missed out on all the fun and partying! It's kind of weird to not spend Easter with kids, not quite the same hoilday! Love your guts
