Emma thought hers turned out pretty spooky!
Our, not so dependable, moving company accidentally packed one of Katie and Barbie's boxes when they took our stuff out of the garage. Lucky for us it was their Halloween decorations! So we also got to decorate the front of our house. Kids make every holiday more fun. Thanks Barbie and Colby!
The next day, October 16th, was Colby's birthday. We ate "princess cake" (Colby is a good sport) and ice cream.
That night, very late, Katie arrived. So we continued the birthday celebration the next day by going to Chuck E Cheese. We had so much fun we could barely stand it.
The next day we got to go have lunch with Michael at school.
And what would a visit from Barbie be without her helping us do a project. That afternoon Barbie and I replaced our kitchen disposal. Barbie rules!
That evening after dinner we went fishing down at the pond. We tried using hot dogs as bait. Our sweet Krista Fantin drove down from D.C. to hang out and spend a few days with us as well. Here we all are on the fishing dock.
Barbie ended the night by catching the king of the pond. It was awesome. You can see on Barbie and Ben's faces how excited we all were.
The next day we couldn't resist returning to the pond. We didn't see the huge fish again, but Katie and Michael still hooked one.
We spent most of the vacationing time just hanging out. It truly is one of our favorite past times. We played a little Jeopardy on the computer.
The kids loved spending every minute with the visitors. Thanks Colby, Katie, Krista and Barbie for letting the kids tell you a million stories, make up games, act goofy and be themselves with you.
On the day that everyone left, October 21, we spent the morning in D.C.
We had Michael and Emma skip school and took a "family field trip" to the Air and Space Museum in the Smithsonian. We spent about 2 1/2 hours there. It was pretty fun.
After the museum we said goodbye to Krista (who had to get to work), and Barbie and Colby (who were leaving from the D.C. airport). Then we took Katie to the airport in Richmond and said goodbye to her. That is when the wailing started. This picture was taken on our ride home form the Richmond airport. We started missing you guys the minute we said "bye." Thanks for the fun time, we will see you soon.

Those pics are so darling. You guys are so close I know it must be hard to be away. Don't think about taking Barb, we love her here to. It looks like you guys had a blast!! Makes me miss you guys.
