I decided to try a new plan for the summer. Something a little less organized than a daily schedule. It is a "bucket list" -- actually it is a bucket full of sticks. They are color coded into different categories like "fun in the sun," "science projects," "art projects," "day trips," etc. The other bucket is "been there, done that" for sticks that we have finished. Anyway, we sit down on Sunday evening and take turns pulling out sticks and fitting them into our schedule for the week. It has worked wonderfully and we have done a lot of stuff -- here is few pics of what we have been up to.
National Zoo in Washington D.C.
Science Project with oil, food coloring and water!
Bike wash.
Marshmallow and toothpick construction.
Science Project: Cooking an egg on the sidewalk.
Playing in the new fountain by the library.
Family scavenger hunt at Maymont Park.
Melting crayon pictures.
Playing Ninja Warrior.
Going to a community play.
