Back to School

Well, it is actually two weeks into school now. I don't know if I haven't blogged it because things have just been to busy, or what. You know how sometimes you have those days where you feel like you have been running around busy all day . . . but then at the end of the day you can't really put a finger on anything that you have accomplished. I guess that is how I feel about these last two weeks. However, we are all healthy, happy and having fun. So, I guess we are doing something right.

Michael started his first day of 3rd Grade at his new school on Tuesday, September 6th. Luckily the new bus comes to the same bus stop as the other bus. However, he is one of only two kids to get on that bus at our stop. He LOVES his new school and he has a super awesome teacher. He came home from school the other day and I asked, "How was school?" He answered too quietly for me to be sure what he said and so I said "fine?". He corrected me, "No, FUN."

Emma's first day of 2nd Grade was also Tuesday. Her bus comes about 10 minutes after Michael's bus. But, she gets on with 29 other kids from our stop. Emma got a really nice teacher this year and is really happy to be at Watkins. She takes pride in the fact that she is the only member of our family who attends that school. She is getting to be pretty grown up.

Sarah started Preschool a week after the other kids. It was a whole new ball game going from a first born (Michael) and a home body (Emma) to a third child. She couldn't jump out of the van fast enough! She is really having a great time and loves to report on her day when I pick her up. I really miss having her at home when she is at preschool, and I know this is just the beginning -- next year she will be gone seven hours a day - five days a week.

Luckily I get to keep Nate all to my self -- all day long! We have lots of fun together. He loves doing laundry (watching the front loader spin around), he likes bathing and playing catch. He really loves waving to the buses when they come and hugging his siblings when they get home.

So . . . three kids in three different schools is working out well. As long as the two bus stops stay in the same place -- and as long as that place is just a few steps from my door -- everything will be fine. Life is wonderful! My kids are the greatest! I love to spend every minute that I can with them and I am so proud of who each of them are becoming.
