So off we went to Pocahontas State Park, which is a fabulous place. Thanks to our sweet "leader" Laura we got together six families (a total of 36 people) and had an awesome campout complete with:
Fire building, which the big boys loved. Which also included using the hatchet to chop wood, which the little boys loved.
A baseball game. As well as many other games with all of those crazy kids.
A yummy hot dog dinner.
Catching fireflies -- one of my favorite things about living in Virginia. I think Michael caught 4 or 5, but it is really hard to get a picture of them glowing.
The rest of the activities included: "Slurpee's" thanks to Brooks, lots of trips to the restroom, Sarah making the rounds and chatting with anyone that would listen to her, the kids playing until the Park Ranger came and told us to quiet down, a few barefoot races around our camping loop, a lot of rock collecting, hot chocolate, fun visiting, sleeping under the stars and general fun had with wonderful friends.The next morning we went to the water park, which we all loved.
I think Emma set the record for number of times going on the slides (probably around 25, seriously!)
Michael loved all of the kids to hang out/swim/play with.
And Sarah is always a good sport to swim a little, eat a little and sit next to her Mom on the lounge chairs a little.
A SUPER FUN time was had by all. It is amazing how much fun you can pack into an overnight camp out, thanks to wonderful friends.

I seriously want to come live in Virginia so that I can be included in all of this fun! You have inspired me to plan a campout. And... I am glad to see that you finally look pregnant. Can't wait to see that belly in person! Love you.
I love that last picture. It looks like a lot of fun and I kind of want a hot dog know.
