Sometimes You Just Need Your Mom

Mom's are the BEST!!! My sweet mommy came to help me after Nate was born. She was with us a total of about two weeks -- it was like heaven!

She was seriously Wonder Woman. She made all of my kids feel sooooo special. She went to Michael's soccer games, Emma's gymnastics, lunch at school, played games with Sarah, helped with homework and read stories at bedtime. She made sure that she got individual time with each of them -- and they loved it.

My sweet mom was also quite the handyman. She dusted, scrubbed, scoured, repaired, organized, swept, arranged, sorted, etc. She cleaned things that hadn't been cleaned in the two plus years we have lived here. This is a picture of Emma helping her fix the towel rack in the kid's bathroom.

On Sarah's birthday Michael and Emma made her breakfast. It was really sweet -- they are awesome siblings.

Then she got to open presents. She got some pretty great things - most of which were animal related.

Then we went to Chesterfield Berry Farm to play and get some pumpkins. It was really fun!

Sarah adores animals. This was her favorite part of the day. She even got to take an extra lap because it was her birthday.

This is a pic of Ben and Sarah shooting the corn cannon, which was pretty awesome.

We caught the last wagon ride to the pumpkin patch. The kids chose some pretty neat white and green pumpkins.

We finished the day off with some cupcakes. It was a really fun day, and a pretty awesome four year old.

The two weeks with my Mom flew by. Before she got here I hadn't realized how much I needed her. We had lots of fun days together full of projects, errands, visiting, games, watching shows, crying, laughing, and laughing so hard we were crying. I love you Mom! Thanks a million. (And Happy Birthday today!)
